"Divyathrayam" - Dance Center for Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi & Mohiniattam

The divine three art forms of India Bharathanatyam,Kuchipudi & Mohiniattam

Divya Shanker was initiated in the divine art of Indian classical dance at a tender age of four by Guru Radha Aravind and further under Guru Kalamandalam Saraswathy at Nrityalaya School of dance in Kerala India. She is fluent in 3 forms of dance--Bharatanāṭyaṁ, Mohiniattam, and Kūchipūḍī-- and has trained in Kalaripayattu, an ancient Kerala martial art. At present she is under the tutelage of Bharathanatyam exponent guru N Srikanth and Ashwathy Srikanth. She also works with several renowned artists from India - Guru Jai Kishore Mosalikanti and Padmavani Mosalikanti in Kuchipudi and Shijith Nambiar and Parvathi Menon in Bharathanatyam.

Divya Shanker has given performances in several places in India
and in Texas and has received awards for her excellence in Bharathanatyam,Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam at the Kerala State youth festival. Apart from performing, she is also an accomplished dance instructor and Director of DIVYATHRAYAM Dance Center in Austin, Texas. She started the dance school in 2008 to support community-building and spread Indian culture and heritage. She is also a member of  Stage Sanchaar a Non-profit Organization, collaborating several seasoned artists in Austin.

Her creative choreography brings out the dance theme
alive with beautiful expressions and her own unique elegant steps.
Divya Shanker has choreographed several classical and semiclassical art forms and presented in various associations in Texas.
